June 21st

body quote

June 21st is essentially the day life is supposed to return to normal, and it should be an exciting, overwhelming, happy and positive feeling for so many people, but instead, this is being blindsided, by the pressure to look the best you’ve ever looked.

Almost everyone I have spoken to in my life either has suffered from an eating disorder is still fighting one or has an unhealthy relationship with their food or body, and it is SO sad. This isn’t helped by the ‘influencers’ posting unrealistic body transformations, and pretending this is done through a ‘miracle weight loss product’ which 90% of the time are usually dangerous, can cause disordered eating patterns or not work at all.

I have seen a lot of discussion of how you can lose a certain amount of pounds from crash diets, or low-calorie diets, to be June 21st ready, and we have all completely lost sight of what the day should be about.

PLEASE do not feel pressured to lose weight or drastically change your appearance for when the world reopens, because I PROMISE you, people around you will be more focused on the fact that they can be together, and be catching up, than have time to judge others on their appearance. Instead of seeing it as ‘4 months to lose a stone, try and think about the positives, and change that to ‘4 months until I can hug, kiss and be around my loved ones again.

With a generation that is so surrounded by social media, it's hard not to fall into the pressures of other peoples appearance, and your idea of beauty, VS what the media portrays, but again 90% of the time, what you see on the media ISNT REAL.

I'm also guilty of joking ‘oh SUMMER BODY in a few months but I'm going to make a real effort to change my mindset, in order to help my own head and help others who are suffering

Don't let your mind bully your body

Your scale can NEVER measure your worth

Your HAPPINESS is more than just a dress size

read these quotes over and over, and if you don’t know yourself, I'm here to tell you, you’re perfect as you are.

Enjoy the excitement of the world reopening, and soon we will be reunited with our loved ones💓
